Company portrait of Schleswig Brewery

SCHLESWIG BREWERY is a young industrial enterprise which was founded in 1994 by Dipl. Brew Master Ronald T. Carius. The company is located in the former freight station in Königstraße, Schleswig. By turning the functional architecture into a brew house, this beautiful building from 1880 could be spared to be demolished. The careful restoration has lead to the preservation of one of the most beautiful industrial buildings in the region of Schleswig. The company's grounds are 2050 m².

The concept of a restaurant brewery has allowed the company to develop into the third largest brewery in Schleswig-Holstein within ten years.

The brewery follows the Purity Law from 1516 for its beer speciality ASGAARD Das Göttliche.. (the devine).

The beer is named after the legendary residence of the Asen, the Nordic Gods. The marketing concept of the beer is solely based on the history of the Vikings. Thus the label shows one or two brakteats (golden coins) next to a Viking ship with Asen drinking beer. The inscription on the brakteats in runic writing mean WONDER and ALU (strong beer of the Vikings).
